LSU's last remaining basketball player, highly-touted recruit Jalen Reece, has entered the transfer portal, leaving the Tigers with no one to show.

The LSU Tigers haven't had much success early in the transfer portal period, but they at least had one more player for next year's roster in Jalen Reece. That now changes as Reece enters the portal, per On3's Joe Tipton, leaving the Tigers with no one.

Reece was a four-star recruit and a Top-100 player in the country coming out of Orlando in high school. He was a good get for Matt McMahon and was viewed as a building block for this program. If there were to be the only one to return, he would've probably been one of the top choices.

The freshman guard averaged 5.8 points, 1,8 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 35.8/29.9/72.3 shooting splits. More importantly, though, were the flashes he showed when DJ Thomas got hurt.

Like later in the season, when Reece had a career-high 17 points on 7-of-12 from the field in a triple-overtime bout with the Texas A&M Aggies. Or an 11-point, 10-assist double-double in a double-overtime win over the Ole Miss Rebels.

Losing him hurts extra because he was an interesting player, and now Will Wade has no one on his roster. Fans have been freaking out about the lack of positive transfer portal movement, and this won't ease any nerves.

The portal opened about a week and a half ago, and LSU has yet to secure any new players. It's not the first time that Wade has taken his time out of the gates, but Tigers fans are just antsy after how frustrating the last few years have been.
