Ex-LSU Tigers speedy WR Barion Brown was just taken No. 190 overall in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints.

Things are heating up for ex-LSU Tigers on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL draft, as wide receiver Barion Brown was just drafted by the New Orleans Saints with the No. 190 overall selection in the sixth round.

Brown becomes the fifth Tiger drafted and the second wide receiver after Zavion Thomas went to the Chicago Bears in the third round. This is the pure speed of the Tigers' wide receiver room that didn't get taken advantage of last year, but the players still end up at the next level.

Being a sixth-round pick and looking at Saints team needs, this pick screams return specialist. Brown was the third receiver taken by New Orleans in this draft, but does have a clear path to the roster and playing time in the return game.

Brown set an SEC record with with six career return touchdowns in college, just one shy of the NCAA. He is blazing fast, which pairs well with the big arm of his new quarterback, Tyler Shough.

The 22-year-old ran a 4.40 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, which is good but felt a little disappointing with how fast he looks on the field. His play speed as very fast, which is obviously more important. The eye test does him will.

Brown finished his college career with 175 catches for 2,060 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was primed to have a big year in Baton Rouge this past season, but was hindered by the injury to Garrett Nussmeier that pretty much eliminated the deep ball.
