Two LSU Tigers stars project as high first-round NFL draft picks in 2027.

The LSU Tigers had a somewhat disappointing 2026 NFL draft. Mansoor Delane was traded up for and was the first defensive back taken, but Harold Perkins tumbled to the sixth and Garrett Nussmeier to the seventh. The talent is there for them to be more well-represented early in the next draft, however.

ESPN's Jordan Reid recently released a Way-Too-Early 2027 NFL draft, where two Tigers players went in this first round projection. Two LSU standouts were selected.

No. 7 - Tennessee Titans - OT Jordan Seaton

The sky is the limit for Seaton in this class. He was a blue-chip high school recruit who has looked like he belonged since the moment he stepped on a football field. He is a great athlete who has pretty much everything that NFL teams want. He could certainly be the first non-quarterback taken and, depending on the team, the first overall player.

Seaton has some room to grow with strength to help in the run game, but he's already been great in pass protection. No matter what, the Tigers are going to be improved on the left side of the line this season.

It's hard to get too excited about playing for a team like the Titans, but it would be the type of situation that would be great for Seaton. They are at the beginning of what could be something good. Cam Ward had flashes of brilliance, and they added Carnell Tate in this past draft. Seaton would give them three foundational pieces in arguably the most important positions on the team to build around.

No. 19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TE Trey'Dez Green

Green also feels like he is someone that could go all over the first round. All it takes is one team to fall in love with the player and Green is a freak athlete that many teams will be intrigued by. He is a smooth mover for a 6-foot-7 target, and can line up all over the offense.

He is less of a traditional tight end, struggling in the blocking game at times, but he is a matchup nightmare all over the field and will be used as more of a chess piece on offense.

The fit with the Buccaneers would be fun, depending completely on what happens with Baker Mayfield. That is a talented team that has done a lot of winning together, but Mayfield has not been extended yet. If they start over at quarterback, there is less of a guarantee for Green. If they do extend the quarterback, then Green would play early and often.
