An awards ballot for the LSU Tigers after their disappointing 2026 campaign came to an end with their SEC tournament loss to the Auburn Tigers on Wednesday night.

The LSU Tigers fell to the Auburn Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday night after the bats failed to produce, a common symptom of their 2026 woes.

Despite the poor results overall, there are still some Tigers who should have their heads held high thanks to their strong contributions to the team this season. Now that the campaign is over, here are some individual awards for LSU:

MVP: OF Derek Curiel

Runner-up: OF Jake Brown

Curiel entered the year with expectations of being that next "Dylan Crews" type of player for Baton Rouge. He's going to be a first-round pick in the next MLB draft and his production this season showed exactly why.

The 20-year-old switched to center field and played great defense. He has the range and arm to play center at the next level. At the plate, he failed to show an increase in pop. Still, he slashed .353/.431/.526 with 18 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 46 RBI and 13 stolen bases. He is a four-tool player with the potential of a fifth.

Offensive Player Of The Year: C Cade Arrambide

Runner-up: OF Jake Brown

This was a toss-up between Arrambide and Brown. Brown hit .309 with 16 home runs in 42 games, but an injury cut his season short. A great season. Arrambide led the team overall with 18 home runs while hitting .317, behind only Curiel.

Arrambide gets the slight edge for doing it while also playing catcher. The sophomore was elite at the plate this season and will be crucial to the Tigers turning things around next season.

Pitcher Of The Year: RHP William Schmidt

Runner-up: RHP Grant Fontenot

Pitcher of the year was truthfully harder to hand out than the others, because almost no pitchers had an above average year. Cooper Moore was on the way, but got hurt early on.

Schmidt also dealt with injuries and had to miss the most important games in the tournament, but he still pitched the most innings and had one of the better ERAs on the team at 4.22. The sophomore improved in year two, but will need another big jump to keep his ace status next year.

Freshman Of The Year: OF/1B Mason Braun

Runner-up: C/1B Omar Serna Jr.

This was also a very close battle, probably the closest of any award. Serna came out of the gates strongest and looks like a potential superstar with a plus hitting tool to go with solid pop.

Braun ended the year red-hot and just had the better numbers in the end. The freshman slashed .314/.475/.429 with three home runs. His very impressive 35 walks to just 33 strikeouts showcased a veteran feel at the plate for someone so young. Both players have very bright futures in Baton Rouge.
