The LSU Tigers have become known as one of the premier NFL factories in college football, despite their overall inconsistencies as a team in recent years.
Few schools offer players a better chance of advancing to the next level. There are 39 players on NFL rosters after the most recent 53-man roster cutdown, which is the fifth-most.
Seven Tigers were drafted in 2025. Two made their debuts in week one. Here is how they performed, with a bonus former fan-favorite:
Campbell was the fourth overall selection in last year’s draft with the intention of becoming a day-one starter at left tackle for the Patriots. He earned that job through camp and played 71 snaps in his debut.
As to be expected, he had some struggles. He allowed four pressures, including a sack. That sack may not have been totally his fault, though, as quarterback Drake Maye stepped up in the pocket into the pass rusher.
The one word that could describe his debut would be “fine.” He didn’t establish himself as one of the league’s greats, but there will be plenty more tackles who had far worse days.
Like Campbell, Taylor is expected to be the day-one starter. The Jets started two tight ends, including Taylor, with the former LSU standout nearly playing 60 snaps.
Tight end is one of the hardest positions to learn in the NFL, so it’s rare that a player comes out looking like an All-Pro. Taylor, more known for his receiving abilities, ended up as a run-blocker more than anything. Not too shocking, given the offense that he is in.
They did move him around as a receiver, though. He lined up in the slot, as a tight end and even split out wide. He was targeted just once and came down with a 20-yard reception.
Bech may not have graduated or been drafted as a Tiger, but the LSU community will always remember him as a member of the team. His journey to the NFL was not an easy one, but he was rewarded with a catch in his NFL debut.
The Lafayette native played just four snaps and came down with a catch-and-run for 23 yards in his debut. He should be a reliable possession guy at the next level, but he also has some ability after the catch to complement it.
