CBS Sports ranked every FBS program in a post-spring 138-team ranking, and they put Memphis at No. 63 in the country. The Tigers rank as the No. 3 team in the American conference behind only Navy and UTSA.

Charles Huff’s team sits only one spot behind Arkansas, where former head coach Ryan Silverfield is in charge, and one spot ahead of Rutgers.

Two of Memphis’ non-conference opponents rank inside the top 50, but Charlotte, who the Tigers will see in October, ranks as one of the worst teams in the country, ranking No. 137.
