Memphis basketball starts practice ahead of 2026-27 season

Memphis basketball posted pictures from its first practice on Tuesday. With the season just 41 days away, the Tigers are officially back to practice.

It will be interesting to see how the team plays, especially in the non-conference slate. Penny Hardaway's team has a daunting non-conference schedule, and it will get started on November 2 against Iowa State.

Memphis will play two exhibition games against Arkansas and Mississippi State, but both games will be on the road. There were rumors that Hardaway would add a third exhibition at FedExForum, but it doesn't appear it will happen.

The Tigers have 13 new players on the roster and several new faces on the coaching staff.
