As the college football season reaches the final stretch, it also means a chapter coming to an end for Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck.
He started his career with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2020, but hardly saw any action and redshirted.
Fast forward to the 2023 season, Beck saw more playing time on the field and remained the starter for the team.
The Bulldogs finished 12-0 in the regular season and made the SEC championship game that year, but fell short of victory to the Alabama Crimson Tide, with a final score of 27-24. They also made the Orange Bowl and dominated the Florida State Seminoles with a final score of 63-3.
The following year, the Bulldogs went 10-2 in the regular season and made the SEC championship game again, this time against the Texas Longhorns. However, Beck suffered an injury after taking a strong hit to the arm while attempting to throw a deep pass at the end of the second quarter. He wouldn't return for the rest of the game.
It was later revealed that Beck was diagnosed with a UCL tear in his right elbow. He would declare for the 2025 NFL draft, then withdrew and entered the transfer portal.
It was reported that Georgia wanted him to return, but Beck also received recruitment interest from Alabama. However, on Jan. 10th, the two-time national champion committed to the Hurricanes.
Beck's one-and-done season in Miami is one to be remembered for the ages. He started this season hot, leading the Hurricanes to a 5-0 record, with notable wins against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, South Florida Bulls, Florida Gators, and Florida State Seminoles.
However, the redshirt senior hit a wall with two self-inflicted losses against the Louisville Cardinals and SMU Mustangs, which ended in crucial interceptions by Beck.
On a positive note, he's reached over 10,000 career passing yards in last Saturday's matchup against the Syracuse Orange.

Beck recently commented on his time with the Miami program:
"It's been awesome," he said. "Obviously, super blessed, thankful, and grateful for the opportunity to have been able to come down here. After injury and surgery, everything that I have gone through this year. It's been crazy. To play my last regular-season home game will be a lot of fun and looking forward to it."
