As the Miami Hurricanes continue to crawl and scrap into the postseason, Carson Beck earned respect from Hunter Yurachek.

The Miami Hurricanes' backs have been against the wall since their tough loss against the SMU Mustangs at University Park, Texas, with a final score of 26-20 in overtime. They had a chance to win the game, at least take back the lead, until an interception on third and six, in front of the endzone, by Carson Beck to safety Ahmaad Moses, which was his second of the game, sealed the deal.

Afterwards, the Hurricanes no longer controlled their destiny in the ACC, which essentially includes the College Football Playoffs. The team was going to have to dig out of a hole they put themselves in, which is exactly what's currently happening.

The South Florida football program has strung together three consecutive victories, but has done so in dominant fashion. The Hurricanes have beaten the Syracuse Orange, North Carolina State Wolfpack, and Virginia Tech Hokies by an average margin of 26.3.

Beck has been the vocal point of the team's recent success, completing 66 of 83 passes, 80.5 percent, for 858 yards, and eight touchdowns with no interceptions.

The redshirt senior is playing his best brand of football in a Hurricanes jersey, which couldn't have come at a better time, given everything that's on the line.

Selection Committee Chairman Hunter Yurachek shared his praises for the 23-year-old:

"You talk about Carson Beck over the last three games, has completed over 80 percent of his passes, 800 yards in total passing, eight touchdowns and no interceptions," he said. "He looks like the Carson Beck in that five-game winning streak to start the season."

The Hurricanes started the season 5-0 as Yurachek alluded to, in which Beck completed 102 of 139 passes, 73.4 percent, for 1,213 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions.

However, in the matchups against the Louisville Cardinals and Mustangs, the offense was stagnant, and their trajectory went from a straight line to zigzag.

Beck's journey this season will be a story to remember, especially in program history. Undergoing UCL surgery, withdrawing from the NFL draft to entering the transfer portal, going to Miami after five years with the Georgia Bulldogs and winning National Championships, starting the season as a strong Heisman Trophy candidate, falling to adversity and responding with a chance of making the postseason, it shows maturity and a sharp mindset.

Beck will enter back in the NFL draft after the season and could make a compelling case for teams to select him high on their boards. However, the focus remains on closing out this college football regular season on a strong note, against the Pitt Panthers on Saturday afternoon.
