The Miami Hurricanes got a huge commitment from offensive lineman Tyler Ford earlier this week

The Miami Hurricanes continue to clean up at the recruiting level.

This week, they received a commitment from offensive lineman Tyler Ford out of Gainesville (Ga.) High School. He is a three-star and rated the No. 47 offensive line prospect in the 2027 class.

MiamiRoundtable Sports contributor Rudy Rodriguez-Chomat, who hosts the Come On Now podcast, recently gave his thoughts on the news.

"Another big, heavy [commit]," Rodriguez-Chomat said. "He visited Miami last week. It was the best place for him."

Rodriguez-Chomat was most impressed with Ford's desire to improve his body shape. The 6-foot-5, 325-pound Ford has made improving his physique a priority.

"That's big," That means this kid is serious. That's a guy who was concerned about his physique, so that's really nice to hear."

The Hurricanes are building one of the top classes in the country after advancing to the College Football Playoff title game. Even though they lost to the Indiana Hoosiers, it hasn't steered the recruits. They currently have the No. 7 class according to ESPN.

"Definitely a very exciting time for Miami," Rodriguez-Chomat said. "They're picking up recruit after recruit after recruit, commit after commit. They're doing work. You're hearing stuff about they could have the No. 1 recruiting class in the country."
