Whenever Michigan and Michigan State take the field against one another, anything can happen. Michigan has been Big Brother for the majority of the rivalry, but the Spartans will jump up and bite the Wolverines when they least expect it sometimes. Michigan currently leads the series 74–38–5, with No. 75 expected this weekend. The Wolverines are more talented and better in most phases of the game, so here's how we see it playing out.
Michigan State needs a win in the worst way ever. I predict this game staying close until the beginning of the third quarter. Michigan State quarterback Aidan Chiles will look nice for most of the game, but Michigan’s run game, as well as their stingy defense is going to prove too much in the end.
I see Michigan getting a defensive touchdown later on in the game and that is going the swing the momentum. The Wolverines area just too talented, too deep on the roster, even in hostile environment, to fall to the struggling Spartans.
Michigan comes out of East Lansing after another hard fought battle for Paul Bunyan with a victory.

Michigan’s run game will be too much for the Spartans to contain. I think we see good production from three running backs tomorrow if Justice Haynes is healthy enough to play, but I can see Michigan leaning on Jordan Marshall and Jasper Parker for the bulk of the carries to allow Haynes to rest.
Bryce Underwood will have a much easier time throwing since the run game will open up the field. I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey lets Underwood launch some deep balls early to help keep the Spartans defense off balance. I expect Bryce to run the ball and contribute in the running game too.
Michigan State will be forced into passing situations to keep up with Michigan scoring and this will allow the Michigan defense to force some turnovers. Rod Moore should be healthy and will lead the defense to a dominant game against the Spartans. I don't think the game will be that close even with a late touchdown by MSU against backups.

Michigan is going to be too much for the Spartans. Between the rushing attack and the ferocious defense, Michigan is going to out-physical and overpower Michigan State all day long.
Freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood isn't a freshman anymore and he's coming off of his best performance yet. And even though this edition of the rivalry game is on the road, Underwood, as an in-state kid, is going to rise to the occasion and look like a star once again.
On the ground, expect a heavy dose of whoever is standing back there. If Justice Haynes can go, he's going to have a huge day, with blasts of Jordan Marshall. If it's Marshall's turn again, he proved that he can be a bell cow. Don't forget about Underwood making plays with his legs as well, as he's going to be especially fired up.
On the defensive side of the ball, Jaishawn Barham and Co. are going to be juiced and playing with intensity. Defensive coordinator Wink Martindale will have his unit ready and will look to hurry up Spartan quarterback Aidan Chiles. Last year, Chiles had turnover problems. This year, he's been much better. However, against Martindale's defense, Chiles will revert to last year and get loose with the ball on more than one occasion.
