Michigan Football Roster Tracker: Transfer Portal Additions & Subtractions cover image

The transfer portal is still buzzing with activity with just three days left for teams to try and bolster their roster.

Michigan football is going to look a WHOLE LOT different next year. With a new head coach in Kyle Whittingham keeping just a couple of assistant coaches, and more than 35 players leaving via the transfer portal of the NFL Draft, the winged helmets are going to be filled with a lot of new faces in 2026.

So far, Whittingham and crew have done a phenomenal job when it comes to bringing back some key pieces. It starts at the top with quarterback Bryce Underwood, but continues with guys like running back Jordan Marshall, cornerbacks Zeke Berry and Jyaire Hill and tight end Hogan Hansen. Noteworthy:

  • It's worth noting that Whittingham and offensive line coach Jim Harding have been very busy when it comes to shoring up the O-line. Bring back Blake Frazier, Andrew Babalola, Andrew Sprague, Jake Guarnera, Evan Link and Brady Norton is huge for what the Wolverines want to do up front. Harding can probably carve a starting five out from that group alone.
  • Wide receiver Andrew Marsh is listed as a key returning player with an asterisk. That notation is because it's believed that Marsh will return, but no formal announcment has been made yet. He's reportedly been involved with recruiting players from the portal and hasn't expressed any serious interest in other schools.
  • Michigan's latest pick up is former LSU quarterback Colin Hurley. The former four-star recruit didn't see any action as a true freshman in 2024 and also watched from the sidelines last year. It'll obviously be Bryce Underwood's show in 2026, but Hurley has a lot of ability. He's got a ton of upside and is still very young as he was one of the youngest players to ever enroll and play football with LSU as he was only 16 years old when he arrived on campus in January of 2024.

Stay tuned for further updates!!!
