COLUMBIA — Mizzou basketball (20-10, 10-7 Southeastern Conference) is set to take on No. 20 Arkansas (22-8, 12-5) for the final game of its regular season. The Tigers are fresh off an upset loss to Oklahoma, while the Razorbacks beat Texas by 20 points at home.
The upcoming game has serious playoff implications for Missouri, as a win, along with a Tennessee loss to Vanderbilt, would secure a double-bye in the SEC Tournament. A to Arkansas or a Tennessee win over Vanderbilt means the Tigers would have to play an extra game in Nashville, as they would hold a seed in the five through nine range.
Arkansas beat Mizzou 94-86 the last time the two teams squared off, but there's a couple notable factors that have since changed.
The Razorbacks' starting point guard and leading scorer, Darius Acuff Jr., is ruled out for today's game against the Tigers. Acuff averages 22.2 points and 6.4 assists per game, both of which lead Arkansas. He dropped 20 points on the Tigers in their previous duel.

Trevon Brazile — who's getting booed every time he touches the ball — leads the Razorbacks with five points. T.O. Barrett, Shawn Phillips Jr. and Trent Pierce each have two points for the Tigers. Mark Mitchell has not attempted a shot.
An 8-0 run in 1:19 allowed the Razorbacks to increase their lead. One of the baskets was a Billy Richmond alley-oop that may have been offensive basket interference. Mark Mitchell got on the board with an and-1, while Brazile is up to nine points.
The Razorbacks are starting to blow the game wide open. They're now up to a 17-4 run.
The Tigers are beginning to claw their way back into the game. Mitchell is up to a team-high 12 points, Phillips had an energetic block and T.O. Barrett is up to six points. The energy is shifting toward the Tigers.
Missouri grabbed its first lead of the night after a Mitchell-to-Phillips alley-oop added to a 9-0 run. The momentum is entirely in favor of the Tigers.
The teams are now trading blows. Mitchell is up to 20 points and has now reached 1,000 career points with the Tigers. Arkansas guard Meleek Thomas is up to 21 points and 5-for-5 from 3-point range.
Mitchell is up to 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting, keeping the Tigers in it with smashmouth finishes at the rim. Him, Stone and Jacob Crews have been rather pesky on defense, forcing Arkansas turnovers and poor possessions.
The crowd is getting rowdy as officials are calling fouls on both sides, leading to an increase in free throws down the stretch. The Tigers are rolling with Robinson, Barrett, Stone, Pierce and Mitchell on the court.
It's all tied up with just a few possessions remaining. Phillips has checked in in place of Stone. Mitchell sunk two clutch free throws to tie it up.
Meleek Thomas is at the free-throw line for his second of two shot attempts. He missed the first.
Thomas sunk his second free throw. Robinson brought the ball up the next possession, only to call a timeout. Barrett then missed a push shot. We've got overtime.
A Phillips turnover and Ewin 3-pointer turned the tide, helping the Razorbacks jump out to a two-possession lead with minutes remaining.
