Ole Miss receiver Cayden Lee transfers to reunite with former teammate Austin Simmons, bolstering Mizzou's talented, revamped wide receiver corps.

Missouri has landed the commitment of former Ole Miss wide receiver Cayden Lee, per Hayes Fawcett.

The Tigers previously landed the commitment of former Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons. Missouri did land the commitment of Ole Miss cornerback Chris Graves. Jr., but for the first time, Simmons' former offensive Rebel connections are paying off in the transfer portal.

Simmons and Lee played two seasons together — although Simmons was never his primary quarterback — in 2024 and 2025. Lee entered the transfer portal with 101 catches for 1,509 yards and five touchdowns in the last two seasons to his name.

Despite not playing on the gridiron too frequently together, the pairs relationship was strong.

“I feel like me and Austin’s relationship goes like beyond the football field," Lee said in August. "We’re like best friends.“

Lee was recruited by dozens of Power Four schools, although Missouri was not amongst them. If the Tigers' didn't have Simmons under center, landing Lee likely would not have been a possibility.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound junior is a bit on the lighter side, but that hasn't stopped Missouri receivers before him from being rather productive players — see Kevin Coleman Jr. and Marquis Johnson.

Missouri lost plenty of wideouts to eligibility and the transfer portal, making Lee's addition all the more important.

The former three-star prospect in 2023 will now line up opposite of Donovan Olugbode as one of the Tigers top two receivers, and presents a strong case as the top wideout. Fellow transfers Horatio Fields, Caleb Goodie, Kenric Lanier and Naeshaun Montgomery join him as portal additions. Here's who else joins them in the room:

Horatio Fields, WR, senior (Auburn transfer)
Caleb Goodie, WR, senior (Cincinatti transfer)
Cayden Lee, WR, junior (Ole Miss transfer)
Kenric Lanier, WR, redshirt sophomore (Minnesota transfer)
Donovan Olugbode, WR, freshman
Naeshaun Montgomery, WR, freshman (Florida transfer)
Shaun Terry II, WR, freshman
DaMarion Fowlkes, WR, freshman
Jabari Brady, WR, incoming freshman
Devyon Hill-Lomax, WR, incoming freshman

The wideout room now holds a balanced blend of experience, youth, athleticism and potential.

Here's how Missouri's starting offense is shaping up in wake of Lee's addition:
