Three-star 2027 RB Kingston Miles talks about his ties to Mizzou Football, relationship with Jamal Roberts and what his recruiting process has been like.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou football is active on its 2027 recruiting trail, reaching out to recruits far and close to bulk up its next batch of incoming freshman.

One of those recruits is three-star St. Louis running back Kingston Miles, who's ranked the No. 32 RB in the nation, No. 4 RB in Missouri and No. 432 player in the nation per 247sports' composite rating.

He recently scheduled an official visit to Missouri for the summer.

Miles has certain qualities he's looking for in a future home at the collegiate level, which Missouri must be relatively meeting — he is currently labeled to have "warm interest" toward Missouri on 247sports.

"Good brotherhood, good atmosphere," Miles told MizzouRoundtable. "A second home, almost."

Part of that brotherhood he could be looking for can be found in current Tiger tailback Jamal Roberts, who's entering his fourth season with the program. Roberts rushed for 753 yards and six touchdowns on 124 carries in 2025, but the talent isn't what ties him to Miles.

Roberts played for St. Mary's High School on Friday nights before donning the black and gold with Missouri. Now-former Tiger Kevin Coleman Jr. also suited up for St. Mary's in his high school days — Missouri has established connection with the school.

Seeing somebody who was once in his shoes helps Miles feel like he can succeed at Missouri.

"Me and Jamal do talk," Miles said. "We went to the same school, and he's at Mizzou and he's playing. I would say that  that."

The Tigers' elite ground-game totaled 2,968 yards and 31 rushing touchdowns in 2025. That run game was partially powered by top-end running backs Roberts and Ahmad Hardy, but the Tigers' offensive line was also crucial in setting up the success.

"Missouri got some big boys," Miles said. "They block. They get downhill."

Miles feels his game fits well in Missouri's scheme.

"I feel like I match that," Miles said. "I bring dominance. I dominate. Good speed, good vision, I feel like I'll be a good substance to the offense."

Miles then said Missouri is in his top-10 schools. Among other schools to have offered Miles is Colorado — who is labeled as warm interest on 247sports — Auburn,  Cincinatti, Illinois, Tennessee, Ole Miss and more.

Missouri begins spring practice Thursdsay, which recruits will be piling in to visit for. Stay tuned to MizzouRoundtable to keep up with all coverage of spring football, Missouri's recruiting trail and more.
