Taking a look at Mizzou football's tight end room and depth chart by evaluating newcomers, transfers and departures.
COLUMBIA, Mo. — For better or for worse, Missouri's tight end room experienced the least amount of turnover among all its position groups in the 2026 offseason.
The unit is built upon returners who have been with Missouri for multiple seasons as only two members of the room have departed. Here's a look at each returner, newcomer and departed Tiger in Missouri's 2026 tight end room.
Departures
Vince Brown II
Vince Brown II spent one season at Missouri before exhausting his eligibility, appearing 181 snaps across all 13 of the Tigers' games in 2025. He didn't catch a pass but was a viable blocker in Missouri's run-heavy scheme.
Brown's role wasn't vital, but his departure means that Missouri now has only one blocking specialist at the tight end position, which we'll address later.
Dakotah Terrell
Dakotah Terrell was an intriguing, raw prospect buried on the Tigers depth chart in 2025. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound athlete caught 83 catches for 1,321 yards and 13 touchdowns in his senior season of high school, but did not catch a ball in his freshman season at Missouri.
Terrell announced he would be leaving Missouri in pursuit of playing college basketball elsewhere. He is still listed on the Tigers' 2026 roster and has not seemed to have signed with a school for basketball, but he won't be back with the Tigers in 2026.
Newcomers
Isaac Jensen
Jensen is the lone tight end recruit in Missouri's 2026 class. The three-star tight end out of Omaha, Nebraska committed to Missouri June 9 and signed with it Dec. 3. He likely won't see the field much in his freshman season, but can serve as a building block for the future.
Returners
Brett Norfleet
Norfleet headlines the Tigers tight end room, as he has more career yards and receptions than the rest of the room combined. He'll be entering his fourth and final season at Mizzou fresh off a 2025 campaign where he logged career-highs of 31 receptions, 254 yards and five touchdowns.
He was a reliable redzone option for Beau Pribula, although his statistics decreased with Matt Zollers under center. It's unclear which version of Norfleet the Tigers will get in 2026, as neither project to be the starting quarterback, rather Ole Miss transfer Austin Simmons who now has the reigns.
Jordon Harris
Jordon Harris joins Norfleet as the second senior in Missouri's tight end room and is by far the best blocker. He logged a pass-blocking grade of 71.6 and a run-blocking grade of 68.7 along with catching five passes for 48 yards in 2025.
Expecting Harris to play a similar role as a consistent blocking specialist who can catch a pass here and there is within reason, and the most likely scenario for the upperclassmen.
Jude James
Jude James flashed promise in limited action during his 2025 campaign, excelling the most when Zollers was throwing passes. He logged six receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns, all of which were from Zollers.
The future redshirt sophomore could play an expanded role as a higher-usage tight end in Missouri's offense, playing more as a complement to Norfleet rather than a pure backup.
Gavin Hoffman
Hoffman transferred to Missouri from Iowa before the 2025 season as a former four-star prospect and three-star transfer. The future redshirt sophomore played just 16 snaps in 2025 and did not catch a ball.
He could battle with James and Jensen for rotational snaps in the 2026 season, barring a major breakout that skyrockets him up the depth chart.
Projected depth chart

TE2: Jordon Harris
TE3: Jude James
