The Tigers' dominant 2025 offensive line crumbles. With key departures and emerging talent, Mizzou rebuilds its trench for 2026.

Missouri's offensive line was a hit in 2025, finishing with the eight-highest pass-blocking grade in the nation, and the 11th-highest run-blocking grade in the nation, per PFF.

The primary starting unit was a five-man trench platoon consisting of Cayden Green, Dominick Guidice, Connor Tollison, Curtis Peagler and Keagen Trost. Trost finished as the nation's highest-graded offensive linemen, while Green brought in All-SEC honors in his first year playing left tackle, and Guidice put up career high pass and run-blocking grades as a full-time starter. Tollison also bounced-back from a torn ACL the year prior, and Peagler showed signs of growth toward the end of the season, finishing with his two highest run-blocking grades against Arkansas and Virginia in back-to-back games.

Three of those starters — Green, Guidice and Trost — were all obtained in the transfer portal. Jayven Richardson, who made starts in Green's place against South Carolina and Massachusetts, also was obtained in the transfer portal – so was fellow backup Johnny Williams IV.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, that successful trench unit is now being torn down by the very element that built them.

Trost and Tollison exhausted their final seasons of eligibility, and won't be returning. Richardson and Williams, along with backups Henry Fenuku and Brandon Solis, will all be entering the portal Jan. 2. Green had the opportunity to leave for the 2026 NFL Draft as well, but it was reported Thursday afternoon that the junior would stay at Missouri for another season.

Cayden Green (eligibility expires 2026)
Dominick Guidice (2026)
Curtis Peagler (2026)
Tristan Wilson (2027)
Logan Reichert (2027)
Ryan Jostes (2029)
Jack Lange (2029)
Keiton Jones (2029)
Johnnie Jones (2030)
Brysen Wessell (2030)
Braylon Ellison (2030)
Brandon Anderson (2030)
Khalief Canty Jr. (2030)

Green, Guidice and Peagler are the only returning starters — Peagler and Guidice being the two weakest links of the 2025 unit. As for the returning reserves, only Wilson played more than 100 snaps, and Early was the only other to play more than 10 snaps. The rest of the list enters the 2026 season with extremely little-to-none experience playing at the college level.

Wilson was Missouri's backup center this year, stepping in whenever Tollison sat. He's been groomed to eventually take on a larger role, but would be competing with Guidice and Peagler for a spot as a starting interior linemen in 2026 — both of whom beat him for the same job in 2025.

Lange and Jones will both be entering their sophomore seasons as former four-star prospects, so having them compete for the starting job isn't totally out of the question — Green did so admirably for Missouri in 2024.

There's not an option who've proven to be successful at the college level as far as Missouri's current internal options go for starters on the 2026 line. Instead, the Tigers will likely turn to the transfer portal, which they've done successfully in the past.

The aforementioned Trost and Green have both panned out according to or surpassing Missouri's plan. Four-star and starting right tackle Marcus Bryant joined the team in 2024, and four-star IOL Cam'Ron Johnson joined the team in 2023 and made AP All-SEC Second Team in 2024. That makes three consecutive transfer portal classes with at least one All-SEC lineman landed.

Rebuilding the offensive line won't be an easy task, but Missouri has the resources available to bring in capable talent, and recent history indicates it will.
