Nebrasketball stars descend on Las Vegas as Josiah Allick, Sam Hoiberg, Rienk Mast, and Brice Williams showcase their skills on the professional stage during this July event.
A quartet of former Huskers will look to advance their professional basketball careers this summer.
The NBA Summer League kicks off this week. The annual event in Las Vegas will include four former Nebrasketball players: Josiah Allick, Sam Hoiberg, Rienk Mast, and Brice Williams.
Each team gets four games between July 9 and July 16. The top four teams advance to the semifinals on July 18, with the championship on July 19. The other 26 teams not advancing to the semifinals will play a fifth game on either July 17, July 18, or July 19.
The games will air on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, NBA TV, and Prime Video.
Josiah Allick - Charlotte Hornets
Josiah Allick was a key piece in Nebrasketball's return to the NCAA Tournament. | John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsAllick wrapped up his Nebraska career with a single season in 2023-24. He helped the Big Red get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014. While a Husker, he averaged 7.3 points per game on 55 percent shooting and 5.4 rebounds per game.
Last season with the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, Allick won the G League title. He averaged 6.6 points per game on 68 percent shooting, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game in 28 games.
Prior to joining the Swarm, Allick played in New Zealand.

Sam Hoiberg - Phoenix Suns

He earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team as a senior, averaged 2.0 steals per game, and set a school record for assist-to-turnover ratio (3.75-to-1).
Hoiberg will face Williams in their final preliminary game on July 15.

Rienk Mast - Indiana Pacers

He averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in 2025-26, coming back from a knee surgery that kept him off the floor for the entire previous season.

Brice Williams - Detroit Pistons
Brice Williams played with Detroit in the preseason last year, but has yet to make his NBA debut. | Petre Thomas-Imagn ImagesWilliams was part of the 2024 NCAA Tournament team as a junior. In his senior season, he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors, averaging 20.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game, culminating in a College Basketball Crown title in Las Vegas.
Last summer, Williams also played for Detroit in the NBA Summer League. He went on to play for the Motor City Cruise, Detroit's G League Affiliate. With the Cruise, he averaged 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 46% from the field, including 42.4% from deep.
Williams will face Hoiberg in their final preliminary game on July 15.
