Amy Williams keeps elite local talent home as four-star powerhouse Addison Medeck chooses the Huskers over Big Ten rivals, bolstering a surging 2027 recruiting class in Lincoln.
Amy Williams has convinced another top talent in the state of Nebraska to stay home.
Addison Medeck, a 6-foot-3 center from Papillion-La Vista South, has committed to the Huskers. She chose Nebraska over Iowa, Creighton, and Northwestern, among more than a dozen offers.

Medeck is the No. 1 player in the state from 247Sports. The four-star prospect is the No. 8 center and No. 43 player in the nation.
ESPN ranks Medeck at No. 75, nationally.
As a junior for the Titans, Medeck averaged 16.5 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. She made 59% of her shots.
Papillion-LaVista South finished under .500 in 2025-26.
On the club circuit, Medeck plays for ETG Midwest Elite out of Council Bluffs. That club was the 3SSB 17U national champion in 2024 and the 3SSB 16U national runner-up in 2022. It was also where current Husker point guard Britt Prince played.
Medeck is also a talented member of the track and field team. She finished second in the Class A Shot Put this past spring, helping the Titans to a team state title.
The 2027 Class
Medeck is now the second commit to Nebraska's 2027 class.
Brinley Altenburg, a four-star guard out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, committed to the Huskers back in April.
The 5-foot-10 prospect averaged 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists for Jefferson last year. She was named to South Dakota's Class AA All-State First Team each of the past two seasons.
Husker Recruiting Blossoming
Amy Williams has steadily increased the talent on her roster with highly-rated signees.
The Huskers signed a trio of top-100 high school seniors in 2025. Ashlyn Koupal (South Dakota), Ava Miles (Missouri) and Maddi Stewart (Oklahoma) all chose Nebraska over major offers across the country.
"We are thrilled that these three talented, hard-working, driven young women have chosen to join our Husker family," Williams said back in November. "Ashlyn, Ava and Maddi each bring the skills, intelligence, character and work ethic to thrive as Huskers and will be instrumental in helping us continue to raise the bar in our program."
Koupal was ranked as a five-star prospect, slotting in at No. 22 from ESPN and No. 10 from 247Sports.
That trio joins a star-studded group of underclassmen, including redshirt sophomores Kennadi Williams, Arek Angui, and Natalie Potts. Potts missed all of last season and most of the previous year with a knee injury that she has been rehabbing.
As for holding down recruiting in the state of Nebraska, NU adds Medeck as the latest in-state win. Besides her own daughter, Williams has also had recent classes include five-star Britt Prince and ESPN top-100 guard Allison Weidner. Lincoln Pius X grad Alexis Markowski was a four-time All-Big Ten selection for Williams.
