Nebraska’s legendary softball head coach secures her future in Lincoln through 2031, anchoring a restructured coaching staff after leading the Big Red back to the Women's College World Series.
The winningest coach in Nebraska athletics history will stick around for a few more years.
Rhonda Revelle has signed a contract extension to keep her at NU through the 2031 season. The program has also finalized its staff and responsibilities for next year.
Revelle, who had the field at Bowlin Stadium named after her this spring, has led the Huskers for 34 seasons. In 2026, Nebraska swept the Big Ten Conference regular season and tournament titles, made it back to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2013, and posted a school-record 52 victories.
“As we said when we had the privilege of naming the field at Bowlin Stadium in her honor, Rhonda Revelle is Nebraska Softball,” Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said. “Rhonda is not only a great leader of our softball program, but she is a world-class individual who elevates our entire athletic department in many ways. The trajectory of our program is at an all-time high coming off a record-breaking season and we are excited for the years ahead under the leadership of Rhonda and her outstanding staff.”
As for Revelle's staff and their responsibilities, the retirement of long-time assistant Lori Sippel last month leaves some room for movement.
Revelle will increase her role with the pitchers. She has already been the one calling pitches for the majority of her tenure in Lincoln.
"I love Nebraska and am grateful to Troy and our administration for entrusting me to continue to lead the Red Team,” Revelle said. “I am passionate and energetic to continue our quest for excellence. We are blessed to have assembled the staff we have. They are talented, smart, hardworking and all in on Nebraska Softball. We are excited to get our team on the field and build something special together."
Diane Miller, who has been at Nebraska for 18 seasons, has been elevated to associate head coach. With her leading the offense, the Huskers finished in the top 25 in seven statistical categories in 2026. Her 2025 offense is at the top of the Nebraska single-season record charts in batting average, runs scored, doubles, home runs, extra-base hits, RBIs, slugging percentage, and total bases.
Mandie Nocita was promoted to assistant coach, while Olivia Ferrell and Jordy Frahm will also serve as assistant coaches. Hannah Coor and Hannah Camenzind have been added as graduate assistants, and Lauren Camenzind will be a graduate manager for the Huskers.

She was previously the director of video technology, analytics, and player development. In her new role, she will continue with video analytics while also taking on various assistant coaching roles. Prior to joining the staff in Lincoln, she was the head coach at Buena Vista for eight years and an assistant coach at Missouri Western for four seasons.
Ferrell joined the Nebraska coaching staff immediately after finishing her career as a Husker pitcher in 2022. Frahm, who just wrapped up her playing career with the Big Red in May, joined the staff less than a week later. Frahm was the 2026 NFCA and USA Softball Player of the Year and the Honda Award Winner for softball.
Coor and the Camenzind twins all just finished their playing careers as Huskers. The trio started every game this past season, helping the Big Red back to the WCWS.
The extensions continue a pattern of Dannen rewarding successful programs this year. Earlier this summer, the Husker baseball staff was among the coaches getting extended after they hosted a regional for the first time since 2008.
