The Ole Miss Rebels shot themsevles into the top 5 of the AP Poll results following a major revenge win over Lane Kiffin's LSU Tigers.

The AP Top 25 results only go so far in Week 2 of the college football season, with no movement in the top three spots through Saturday’s slate.

The biggest shakeup came from the Ole Miss Rebels taking down the LSU Tigers 32-24 in a contest with major implications at home with the return of Lane Kiffin, and their ability to fend him and his new team off shot them up three spots to No. 4.

The other ranked games produced just as much, with the Texas Tech Red Raiders taking down the Houston Cougars in a close thriller while the Louisville Cardinals are shooting out of the gate to start the year with a major offensive output that saw them defeat the SMU Mustangs 41-31.

This week’s newcomers are the Florida Gators and Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Gators are firing under new head coach Jon Sumrall with a win over an SEC opponent in the Auburn Tigers while the Bulldogs are seeing a surge under new quarterback Kamario Taylor.

With that, here are the AP Top 25 results following the results of Week 2:

4. Ole Miss Rebels (3-0)

5. Indiana Hoosiers (3-0)

9. BYU Cougars (3-0)

10. LSU Tigers (2-1)

12. USC Trojans (4-0)

15. Utah Utes (3-0)

16. Louisville Cardinals (2-1)

17. Iowa Hawkeyes (3-0)

19. Missouri Tigers (3-0)

20. Oregon Ducks (2-1)

21. Florida Gators (3-0)

22. SMU Mustangs (2-1)

24. Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-0)

25. Houston Cougars (2-1)

The ranked matchups for Week 3 are aplenty. No. 1 Texas will take on No. 14 Tennessee on the road; No. 4 Ole Miss will now see a ranked No. 21 Florida Gators. The No. 23 Aggies will take on the No. 10 LSU Tigers who will be vying for a win after this last weekend. No. 24 Mississippi State will host No. 19 Missouri.

In the Big Ten, No. 17 Iowa will face off against No. 18 Michigan, while No. 20 Oregon will head to take on No. 12 USC.
