He needs a win, too.

The University of North Carolina will have one of its toughest football games of the season on Saturday, taking on Duke in Durham.

This is one of the top games of the college football week, and everyone is looking forward to it. Whenever Duke and North Carolina are on the same field together, it typically ends in dramatic fashion.

If the past couple of seasons have shown us anything, it's that this game will come down to the final few seconds, something Duke head coach Manny Diaz recently said.

As for how North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick feels about facing an improved Duke squad, one many considered one of the best 25 teams in America before its loss to Georgia Tech, Belichick sees this as a good opportunity to take on a very solid opponent.

He keeps saying it's a good week to get better, but this felt different, noting that the program owes it to the fans to come out and play the kind of football everybody wants.

“It’s a great opportunity going up against good teams,” Belichick said, per Rodd Baxley.

“It looks like there’s more on the schedule. Certainly Duke’s one of ‘em and we’re excited for the opportunity and the challenge to face them. That’s what we came here for was to play good teams, to play good competition. We embrace the opportunity…

"You owe it to the fans, you owe it to the alums, everyone that’s kind of come before you. It doesn’t change our approach in terms of what we do day in and day out. Again, we’re focused on the process, we’re focused on how we can get better each and every day.”

I'm not sure how much we should trust North Carolina for what it's been able to do a lot of the season.

There have been times when North Carolina looks to be a legitimate program that has a chance to win a boatload of games, but others suggest that it's just an average team at best. As for how North Carolina has played recently, beating a ranked Pittsburgh squad after facing Notre Dame is a very good sign of what it can do on Saturday.

It will have to keep playing this way, though there's hope it will.
