The North Carolina Tar Heels desperately need help at wide receiver, as they have suffered a mass exodus of players at the position, and Jordan Shipp is the only reliable returning member.
North Carolina will almost certainly have to add at least one receiver via the transfer portal, and they may want to take a crack at arguably the best one available: Nick Marsh.
Marsh has spent the first two years of his collegiate career at Michigan State, establishing himself as one of the most dynamic weapons in the Big Ten.
The 19-year-old caught 41 passes for 649 yards and three touchdowns during an impressive rookie campaign in 2024, and this past season, he hauled in 59 receptions for 662 yards and six scores.
Marsh achieved those numbers in spite of having pedestrian quarterback play with the Spartans, so he definitely has the potential to post much bigger stats.
With the Tar Heels in such dire need of another playmaker to put alongside of Shipp, Marsh would make perfect sense for Bill Belichick and Co.
Of course, you do have to wonder if Marsh would actually want to head to Chapel Hill, though.

As of now, Gio Lopez is slated to serve as UNC's quarterback in 2026, and considering Lopez did not even reach 2,000 passing yards this season, that could represent a pretty glaring red flag to Marsh.
However, the Tar Heels could always poach a quarterback via the portal themselves, and Marsh may be drawn to North Carolina because of the presence of Belichick and new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, who has a strong track record with turning around offenses.
The 6-foot-3, 203-pound Marsh is just itching to break out somewhere, and with UNC having very little options in its receiving corps outside of Shipp, he would definitely have a pretty big opportunity to earn significant targets at Chapel Hill.
Again, the only concern is whether or not North Carolina has developed the cachet to be able to land someone like Marsh. Is Belichick's name that much of a draw? Or is the fact that the Tar Heels just went 4-8 and have a questionable situation under center enough to steer Marsh in a different direction?
Regardless, UNC should still make a play for Marsh, who is definitely a game-changer.
