The Tar Heels will have their hands full this week against Miami.

The North Carolina Tar Heels have a tough game this week as they will be welcoming in the top-ranked Miami Hurricanes to town.

North Carolina comes into the game with a record of 4-3, going 2-2 in ACC play so far this season. Miami will be coming in with a record of 7-0, with them going 5-0 in ACC games this year.

College football analyst David Kenyon of Bleacher Report put together predictions for games this week, including the North Carolina matchup with Miami. But unfortunately for the Tar Heels, Kenyon went with the Hurricanes to win the game by a score of 34-24.

However, this game could be closer than some people think, especially with the game being played at home for the Tar Heels. North Carolina played Notre Dame very tight a few weeks ago, and there could be a similar outcome in this game.

If the Tar Heels can avoid penalties and beating themselves, they could have a chance to pull off the upset. Road games can be tough for any team in college football, even for the Hurricanes, and North Carolina could surprise some this week.

But one aspect of the team that will need to play well is the offense, especially going up against an explosive Miami attack. Quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. will need to play the game of his life for the Tar Heels to get the win, and he could be one of the bigger X-Factors for this contest.

Edwards has done okay for the Tar Heels this season, but the team does need more from him going forward. For the year, the veteran signal-caller has thrown for 1,531 yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Against Miami, Edwards is going to need to push the ball down the field, giving this team a chance to score. If he can't do this, it could be a long game for North Carolina against the top-ranked squad in the nation.

Additionally, the defense of North Carolina will be tested in this game, especially with star Malachi Toney putting together a special season. The Hurricanes star could cause issues for the Tar Heels in this matchup, and he will be looking to add to his potential Heisman Trophy candidacy.

North Carolina has some tough odds to overcome, but never say never in college football.

Kickoff for the Tar Heels and Hurricanes is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET from Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill.
