The Tar Heel Roundtable Podcast Discuss the Return of Seth Trimble, a Very Strong Showing in Non Conference Play, and Bill Belichick Hiring Bobby Petrino to Be UNC's New OC.
Josh Graham and Will Dalton co-hosts the Tar Heel Roundtable podcast, which will release new episodes every week on the site. Here are the topics covered on this week’s pod:
- Seth Trimble Returns. Seth Trimble returned after being out for about a month and a half to finish up the last two games of UNC's non conference slate. What was most surprising is that Hubert Davis moved Jarin Stevenson to the bench instead of Luka Bogavac.
- Fun-Conference Season. Josh and Will break down what we've seen from Carolina in the non conference season and how impressive it is that without Seth Trimble for most of it, the Heels managed to get to 12-1 after finishing up with a win against East Carolina. Conference play will start for UNC against Florida State on December 30th.
- ACC Contender? Now that UNC is 12-1, stacking nice wins against both Kansas and Kentucky, is it fair to consider them an ACC contender? Also in that group of teams is Duke, Louisville, and Virginia.
- Smith Center Debate. Josh and Will have a back and forth about the recent very real conversation about UNC basketball leaving the Smith Center and building a new arena for the purposes of driving more revenue.
- 2025 Wrap Up. This hasn't been an overall great year for UNC. Between being the last team to get into the NCAA Tournament, then the Bill Belichick hire not at all going the way UNC anticipated it would, there's not a ton of great to pull from. But, it does seem basketball is back where it should be going into next year. A far as what year two under Bill Belichick may look like, your guess is as good as ours.
