Northwestern is in the middle of a rubber match against Washington this afternoon, hoping to bring a 2-1 series win back to Evanston from Seattle. 

In game one, NU struggled to get the bats going and fell 7-2. Garett Shearer had a rough outing to start the game, allowing three tuns in the first inning. The 'Cats could never claw their way back into it.

But in game two, Northwestern's bats came alive. Despite some sketchy moments in the final frame, the 'Cats managed to win the ballgame 10-9 and even the series. Stay tuned for the result of today's game and an upcoming more in-depth recap of the series.
