The 'Cats are back to an even record at 2-2 after beating Cornell today by a score of 13-5. Northwestern's offense was potent early in the contest, as it scored seven of those runs in the first four innings of play.

Nick Barron hit his first homer as a Wildcat in the game, and former NU quarterback Jack Lausch had two hits and two RBIs. Ryan Kucherak also chipped in with a couple of RBIs of his own.

Sam Hliboki started this one for the Wildcats, giving up four earned runs in five innings pitched. After his stint, Alex Grant came into the game for an innings, and then Tommy Bridges shut the door with three clean innings.
