
College baseball season is upon us, as the Wildcats played their first series of the season last weekend against Rice. The results were middling, but it's early.
Northwestern lost both of its first two games, a double-header, but it got into the win column for the first time in the final contest of the three-game set. NU won that last game going away, by a score of 17-6. Former Northwestern quarterback Jack Lausch hit a homer in that finale.
This weekend, the 'Cats travel to Spartanburg, North Carolina to play four games -- two vs. Cornell and two against Boston College.
