Northwestern baseball dropped the rubber match yesterday in Seattle by a score of 7-2.
In two of three games this weekend, the Wildcats just couldn't get the bats going. That's out of character for this team, which tends to struggle significantly more on the mound than it does at the dish.
The pitching was still brutal, as it allowed more than five runs in all three games on the weekend, but it failed to produce offense in the opener and the finale. In the middle game, Northwestern won a 10-9 thriller, but ultimately, this was another slightly disappointing weekend on the road.
