The 'Cats are beginning to turn down a bad path this season, and head coach Ben Greenspan's team needs to nip it in the bud today at Michigan.

After getting swept last weekend vs. Purdue, and barely winning a thriller over UIC mid-week, Northwestern is off to an 0-2 start against the Wolverines. So far, it's been the pitching that's sunk them, which has essentially been the case all season. NU fell 7-6 in the first game and 8-3 in the following one.

The good news? I expect this Wildcat offense to fire on all cylinders today. It's been a major positive for the team this year, with Lausch, Freeman and Kucherak in the middle of the order, and it hasn't been up to its usual standards in Ann Arbor. The question? Will the pitching hold up enough to come avoid a sweep.
