In a sloppy affair, Northwestern Baseball beat St. Thomas yesterday by a 15-5 score at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park.

The 'Cats had the bats going, tagging most of the Tommies pitchers for multiple runs. The top of the order had a big day, as Owen McElfatrick, Jack Lausch and Ryan Kucherak all had three-RBI days for the 'Cats in the top three spots.

Northwestern also benefited from some poor defense by the road team. St. Thomas made two errors, and that was probably generous from the NU score keeper. Poorly played balls both in the air and on the ground hurt the Tommies on the margins in this one as they tried to keep pace with a Big Ten squad.

The 'Cats are back in action this weekend on the road, taking on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a three-game set.
