Jake West had another great game last night in Northwestern's win against Indiana, scoring 16 points of 4-of-9 shooting.

His second half has been so impressive. I can't say enough about the strides he appears to have made over the course of this season. He's a completely different player than he was during the non-con schedule.

It's not just the scoring. West is a great passer. He seems comfortable and confident bringing the ball up the floor and running the offense. Perhaps the most telling thing though is that Chris Collins seems to trust him a lot. West played 36 minutes last night. Again, he's a freshman POINT GUARD.

'Cats fans deserve to be excited about something, and West is that something.
