Northwestern is now down eight players to the transfer portal, in addition to its graduating senior class.

That feels like a lot, and I understand why people are getting anxious about next year's team. But I think it's important to remember that the transfer portal season is far from over. Up until today, players could only leave programs. We haven't gotten to the part where players join programs.

I agree -- Collins has a lot of holes to fill and it's pretty daunting. But let's see what he does before we freak out. My gut tells me this is more calculated than we think. Remember, Northwestern was a bad team in 25-26.
