Northwestern has extended an offer to four-star 2027 prospect Langston Pridgeon, a top-100 recruit with major accolades and impressive production as a sophomore.
Northwestern continues to build for the future on the recruiting trail, and the Wildcats are now targeting one of the top prospects in the 2027 class.
Four-star prospect Langston Pridgeon announced that he received an offer from Northwestern, thanking defensive backs coach LaMarcus Hicks and the Wildcats for the opportunity.
Pridgeon enters the recruitment process with an impressive resume already built at the high school level. He is a four-star, top-100 recruit who has been selected as a 2027 Polynesian Bowl All-Star and Under Armour All-American.
For Northwestern, adding a player with that type of talent to its recruiting board could be a major development as the Wildcats continue looking to bring high-level defensive talent to Evanston.

Pridgeon has already shown plenty of production despite still having significant time left to develop before reaching the college level.
During his 2025 sophomore varsity season, Pridgeon recorded 73 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, 10 pass breakups and an interception. He was credited with 12 passes defended overall.
Those numbers show his ability to impact the game in multiple ways, whether it is making plays against the run, creating pressure or making plays in coverage.
His combination of production and recruiting recognition helps explain why programs such as Northwestern are getting involved early in his recruitment.
Plenty of Time to Develop
One of the most intriguing parts of Pridgeon’s recruitment is how much room he still has to develop.
As a 2027 prospect, he still has another two full high school seasons ahead of him before beginning his college career. That gives Northwestern plenty of time to continue building a relationship and showing Pridgeon what the program can offer.
Northwestern has continued to prioritize defensive backs on the recruiting trail, and landing a commitment from a player with Pridgeon’s talent would give the Wildcats another high-level piece for the future.
A Recruitment to Watch
It is obviously still very early in Pridgeon’s recruitment, and receiving an offer does not mean Northwestern is guaranteed to land his commitment.
However, the Wildcats getting involved with a four-star, top-100 prospect this early is certainly worth monitoring.
Pridgeon already has impressive production and major national accolades, and he still has plenty of time to develop his game before arriving at the college level.
If Northwestern can continue building its relationship with Pridgeon, the Wildcats could have a legitimate opportunity to add another talented defensive prospect to their future recruiting classes.
For now, Northwestern has officially entered the race. It will be interesting to see how Pridgeon’s recruitment develops from here and whether the Wildcats can eventually turn the early interest into a commitment.
