Despite the Los Angeles Clippers falling 99-85 to the Los Angeles Lakers, Martinelli turned in another productive performance, recording the first double-double of his NBA Summer League career while continuing to establish himself as one of the Clippers' most intriguing young players.
The rookie forward finished with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds in 26 minutes, including four offensive rebounds, while shooting 5-for-13 from the field. Although it wasn't his most efficient shooting night, Martinelli's relentless effort on the glass helped him make an impact throughout the game.
His performance marked another step forward early in his professional career.
