Four-star wide receiver Darion Moseley announced his commitment to Northwestern on Sunday, giving head coach David Braun and his staff another impressive addition to the 2027 recruiting class.

Moseley, a 6-foot, 190-pound receiver from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, announced his decision on social media, writing, “Beyond blessed!! Thank you Lord!! 10000% committed…. GoCats!!”

The commitment came following an official visit to Evanston, where Moseley watched Northwestern defeat Rutgers 42-14 at the new Ryan Field on Saturday.

For a program currently sitting at 6-1 and continuing to exceed expectations, landing a player of Moseley’s caliber is another encouraging sign for the future.

Moseley has established himself as one of Alabama’s most productive high school receivers.

During his junior season in 2025, he recorded 68 receptions for 1,128 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, averaging an impressive 16.6 yards per catch.

His 1,128 receiving yards led Alabama’s Class 7A, demonstrating his ability to consistently produce against high-level competition.

And he hasn’t slowed down during his senior season.

Through his latest game, Moseley has recorded 53 receptions for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns, continuing to show why he has attracted attention from major college football programs.

Just this past Friday, he hauled in eight receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in Thompson’s 42-0 victory over Oak Mountain.

What makes Moseley an exciting addition is his combination of speed, route running and ability to create yards after the catch.

He has demonstrated an ability to find open space, make himself available to his quarterback and turn receptions into significant gains.

Those qualities could make him an excellent fit in offensive coordinator Chip Kelly’s system, which has emphasized getting the football into the hands of playmakers.

Moseley also brings experience playing in a successful high school program, having helped Thompson capture another state championship during his junior season.

He becomes another important addition to the Wildcats’ 2027 recruiting class, joining a group that continues to take shape under Braun.

With Northwestern’s offense thriving this season behind quarterback Aidan Chiles and receivers such as Griffin Wilde, adding another talented pass catcher provides excitement about the program’s future.

Although Moseley still has development ahead of him before reaching the college level, his production and skill set suggest he has the potential to become a valuable contributor.

For Northwestern, landing a talented receiver who has already demonstrated the ability to produce at a high level is a significant recruiting victory.

And as the Wildcats continue building toward the future, Moseley gives fans another reason to be excited about what is ahead.
