An improved line paved the way for Northwestern's offense this fall.

The Big Ten released its second batch of All-Conference honors on Thursday, and the Wildcats were well-represented. A day after seven Northwestern defenders and two special teamers received All-Big Ten recognition, six offensive players from NU were selected to the team featuring the league's best.

While the Wildcats' offense often struggled to end drives in the end zone, Northwestern was exceptional at using a strong ground game to wear down the defense and dominate the time of possession battle. Behind an offensive line that rarely allowed sacks and frequently moved the chains, the 'Cats improved their win total by two from a season ago and are headed to a bowl game.

    LT Caleb Tiernan (R-Sr.)

2nd Team All-Big Ten by Coaches, Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by Media

Tiernan blossomed into one of the best tackles in the Big Ten last season and continued his ascent in 2025. Among qualified tackles, Tiernan's 83.5 pass-blocking grade ranked fourth in the Big Ten, per Pro Football Focus.

    WR Griffin Wilde (Jr.)

Wilde stood out among a very inexperienced wide receiver group, becoming Preston Stone's most reliable target from the get-go. The South Dakota State transfer led the Wildcats with 61 catches, 783 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

    RB Caleb Komolafe (R-So.)

Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by Coaches & Media

Komolafe became Northwestern's workhorse running back after Cam Porter went down, breaking out and forcing his way to the top of opposing scouting reports. A bruising threat with underrated speed, Komolafe ran for 886 yards and 10 touchdowns, largely over the back half of the season.

    RG Evan Beerntsen (Gr.)

Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by Coaches & Media

Beerntsen, another transfer from South Dakota State, may have been Northwestern's best offensive lineman. In his seventh year of college football, Beerntsen gave up just five pressures and ranked fourth among Big Ten guards in PFF's run-blocking grade.

    TE Hunter Welcing (R-Sr.)

Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by Coaches & Media

Welcing entered the season with just one catch to his name, but ended up seeing the field more than he ever had before, due to his blocking. This opened up opportunities in the passing game, and Welcing took advantage with 27 catches, 283 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

    LG Ezomo Oratokhai (R-Fr.)

Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by Coaches

Otatokhai played in four games with two starts as a true freshman last year, then earned his spot among a veteran offensive line this season as the lone underclassman. He started all 12 games for the 'Cats, and among guards in his class, Oratokhai's pass-blocking grade ranked second in the nation.
