Two Northwestern football commitments have been given a high distinction by the scouting website Rivals.
The Northwestern Wildcats' 2027 recruiting class ranks 47th nationally according to Rivals/On3.com and includes 22 high school commitments that could help coach David Braun's team ascend up the ranks of the Big Ten in the coming years.
On Monday, the website released its news Rivals300 list of prospects and two Wildcats commitments made the cut, both earning their fourth star (out of five), graduating from their previous three-star statuses.
Cook, Reikowski Earn Fourth Stars
Wide receiver Lincoln Cook and interior offensive lineman Cade Reikowski were both given the four-star distinction by the website after being scouted.
Cook is a 6-foot-2, 180 pound receiver from Kintnersville, Pennsylvania who committed to Braun's program early last month
Reikowski is a 6-foot-6, 310 pound lineman from Pewaukee, Wisconsin who committed to Northwestern back in February of this year.
The Wildcats do not have a single prospect ranked two stars or lower according to Rivals, highlighting the high floor of their 2027 class as momentum builds around the program.
Cook and Reikowski are both expected to arrive on campus at positions of need with the Wildcats in search of added depth at the two key position groups.
Cook is NU's only pure wide receiver recruit so far in the 2027 class while Reikowski is the only interior offensive lineman recruit among the class.
Each player has a chance to be developed by a coaching staff that has put the Wildcats on the map with tough, hard-nosed play in recent seasons.
Cook will have the chance to follow in the footsteps of Northwestern star Griffin Wilde, who is expected to be one of the best receivers in the Big Ten this season.
