The 'Cats are well-represented in the ranks of professional baseball.
Former Northwestern pitcher Sean Sullivan earned his call-up to Major League Baseball on Friday night, giving the program its second MLB debut this season.
Sullivan threw three scoreless innings for the Colorado Rockies before exiting with an illness, but his performance should give hope to fans everywhere who are watching the losingest team in baseball attempt to rebuild. The 23-year-old lefty follows Boston Red Sox pitcher Tyler Uberstine, who attended Northwestern from 2020 to 2021 and debuted in April.
