Let's kick off our preview of the Rose Bowl with an overview look at the No. 1 ranked Indiana Hoosiers.
Overall Record: 42-6
Record at Indiana: 24:2
Cignetti took over the Indiana program in November of 2023 and quickly made a name for himself down in Bloomington. In his first season, he led Indiana to an 11-1 regular season record and a bid in the first ever 12-team College Football Playoffs where they fell to Notre Dame in the first round 27-17. Despite their electric season in 2024, Cignetti and the Hoosier flew relatively under the radar coming into 2025. Many assumed it to be a fluke of a season. Now, Indiana is the No. 1 ranked team in the playoffs, received a first round bye, went undefeated in the regular season and capped it off with winning the Big 10 Championship for the first time in over 60 years. Cignetti has this program playing at an exceptionally high level.
