It's the start of another week of the 2026 offseason, and the premium message board subscribers in the Irish Breakdown community did not disappoint with their submissions in this week's edition of the Buy/Sell/Hold. We answered and discussed topics ranging from former Notre Dame alum in the Super Bowl and our favorite foods for Super Bowl parties down to the potential impact of the 2026 recruiting class this season.
The bulk of the offseason is still ahead of us, but spring is right around the corner. We also talked through which players could have a breakout this spring which might lead to them cracking the rotation this fall. You can listen to all of that and more in this week's edition of Buy/Sell/Hold on the Irish Breakdown Podcast.

Here are some of the submissions we answered in today's episode:
On Mike Tirico Calling Notre Dame Games...
"He's said, many times, how much he loved doing Notre Dame games. He said that on Pat McAfee's show. Mike Tirico has done the Olympics, Sunday night football and multiple major golf tournaments but he said his favorite time of his career was calling Notre Dame home games. He called it 'the cathedral of college football'. I'll say this, I would be willing to sacrifice him mentioning former Notre Dame players in the Super Bowl if he came back and did Notre Dame home games. He gave the best 'Here Comes The Irish' at the start of the game in my lifetime, and it's not overly close."
On If The 2026 Defensive Tackles Will Be Better Than Rylie Mills...
"They don't have to be; I wouldn't be upset if they were. But their defensive tackles in 2026 don't have to be better than what Rylie Mills was in 2024. If they are, awesome, but they don't have to be. They can do in 2026 what they couldn't do in 2024: come at you in waves. They're now coming at you in bigger waves and that's extremely promising. With that being said, Rylie Mills was extremely underrated during his time in South Bend. He was a 5th round NFL Draft pick with a torn ACL. I think there's a chance he was a day-two draft pick if he didn't tear his ACL."
On Comparisons Between Anthonie Knapp's And Will Campbell's Potential Career Paths...
"I'm going to buy this based on the submission, not the comp of them as players. I'm simply looking at this from being a fine left tackle in college but will struggle at the next level. The same reasons Will Campbell struggled in the NFL won't be the same reasons Anthonie Knapp would struggle at left tackle. Length is not the reason Knapp struggles at left tackle, he just isn't comfortable in space."
