Notre Dame landed the nation's top recruiting class back in December during the early signing period, but Marcus Freeman and the Irish staff were able to add to that group this week as the 2026 class officially came to a close. Notre Dame signed 30 prospects in the 2026 class, including three this week during the final signing window. It's an incredibly deep and talented group, and the Irish staff hit all their needs on offense, defense and with the late signing period, on special teams.

An impressive aspect of this class is that Notre Dame did not suffer a single decommitment during the 2026 cycle. The Notre Dame coaching staff clearly did a tremendous job identifying and landing players that were bought into the vision Freeman has for the program.
This class will be Notre Dame's highest ranked group since the 2008 class and it is a hit across the various recruiting services. Only 247Sports, which has a strong recent history of being much lower on Notre Dame commits than other services, has the Irish outside the top five rankings.
