Notre Dame Lands Ohio State Wide Receiver Mylan Graham cover image

Fighting Irish add explosive playmaker Mylan Graham. The talented wide receiver leaves Ohio State, bringing game-changing speed and route-running polish to South Bend.

Notre Dame has added another talented weapon for quarterback CJ Carr, with former Ohio State wide receiver Mylan Graham choosing the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame had to battle with Auburn, Ole Miss and the possibility of returning to Ohio State to add Graham to the offense, which now has an extremely talented wide receiving corps. Graham is the second Buckeye wideout to transfer to Notre Dame, with the Indiana native joining Quincy Porter.

Graham played for the Buckeyes for two seasons, earning a redshirt in 2024 and becoming a key rotation player in 2025. He finished the 2025 season with just six catches for 93 yards (15.5 yards per catch), but Graham showed off his skills during the spring game when he hauled in four passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. Veterans Carnell Tate and Brandon Innis kept Graham from becoming a bigger part of the offense, but he was impressive on film when he got his chance to play.

The New Haven, Ind. native signed with the Buckeyes as part of the 2024 recruiting lass. He was ranked as a Top 50 recruit by ESPN (No. 37), Rivals (No. 40) and On3 (No. 47). Graham battled injuries as a senior, but he still finished with 39 catches for 566 yards and six scores that season. As a junior, the 6-2, 185-pound pass catcher showed his elite potential, catching 48 passes for 1,149 yards and 13 touchdowns (23.9 yards per catch).

Graham is an athletic and dynamic playmaker that can stretch the field and do damage after the catch. His dominant numbers as a junior at New Haven is evidence of that. Graham combines fluid change of direction skills with explosiveness and an outstanding overall feel as a route runner. He's a polished route runner with strong hands, and he projects quite well to the field positions in the Notre Dame offense (Z, Slot). Ohio State used Graham at times in the boundary, and that's certainly a spot he could play at times for the Irish. His ability to line up all over the field adds to his value as a pass catcher. He lacks ideal experience, but Graham's combination of elite athleticism and football smarts should allow him to quickly earn a key role in the Irish rotation. Notre Dame also needs a boost in after-the-catch playmaking, and Graham certainly brings that to the table.

Although he signed with Ohio State, Graham did show some early interest in Notre Dame. He made multiple visits to campus, including during the 2023 Irish Invasion. Graham was a standout at that event, as was Carr and current Irish players like Cam Williams, Tae Johnson and Jack Larsen. It was a bit of twisted road, but Graham has finally found his way back to Notre Dame.
