Spring answers emerge: see how Notre Dame attacks practice after playoff snub, previewing key recruits.
Notre Dame is essentially at the half way point in spring. A couple of weeks ago, before spring training began, we posed some different questions that we thought could be answered throughout the spring. Today, we evaluated some of those questions to see which ones have been answered and which ones we're still awaiting to be answered. Some won't be due to injuries or players not yet on campus, but others have been. One of the biggest questions this team as a whole had to answer was their response to the playoff snub back in December.
Today, we broke down what we believe Notre Dame has done up to this point in response to the playoff snub by the way they attack practice, the intensity that they've attacked training and the level of competition day in and day out. We wrapped everything up with a preview of some high-level recruits that will be on campus this weekend that Notre Dame looks to move the needle with in a big way. You can listed to all of that and more on today's episode of the Irish Breakdown Podcast.

Here are some of the main topics we discussed on today's show:
On The Offensive Line Alignment Question Being Answered...
"Coming into the spring, we had an idea of what the offensive line first-team line up would look like. Some of that was based on intel and the other part was based on the video that was put out of CJ Carr giving the offensive lineman Bose headphones and we noticed the lineup from left to right in the room was Will Black at left tackle, Anthonie Knapp at left guard, Ashton Craig at center, Sullivan Absher at right guard and Guerby Lambert at right tackle.
"We didn't know, until we got to see the first practice, if that lineup would hold true and it did when we saw them on the first day of spring practice. Now, the goal is getting that group to play together well as a unit."
On The Wide Receiver Progression Throughout The Spring...
"There are still some things we don't know about the receiving room like what the rotation will be this fall. That being said, there's still a good amount of things we learned about this unit. They're all developing very nicely. Mylan Graham is who we thought he would be coming over from Ohio State. Jordan Faison is who we thought he could be now that he's strictly focusing on football and not lacrosse.
"Cam Williams and Elijah Burress are taking the necessary strides this spring and Micah Gilbert is who we thought he could be based on the intel we got about him during winter workouts and their football school. Now, they'll have to finish spring strong and carry over that development into the summer and fall camp."
