The NFL Combine wrapped up a week ago and draft analysts like Daniel Jeremiah have had the opportunity to digest all of the information, testing numbers and evaluate performances. Up to this point, Jeremiah has released two Top 50 prospect lists and has just dropped his third where two former Notre Dame standouts find themselves listed.
No. 2 - Running Back Jeremiyah Love
"Love is a dynamic weapon as a runner and receiver," Jeremiah explained. "On inside runs, he runs high/narrow, but he explodes to and through the hole. He will drop a level lower on contact and has the lower-leg drive to bounce off defenders. He doesn’t always let things develop because he can get skinny through narrow passages. He has elite speed on outside runs to capture the corner and take it the distance."
"He has a rare ability to make defenders miss without gearing down," Jeremiah continued. "His spin move is electric. In the passing game, he can run routes like a wideout. He’s smooth, polished and natural. He plucks the ball effortlessly. In pass protection, he is both aware and willing, but he’s best utilized out in the route. Overall, Love is a home run hitter and will immediately expand the playbook for his drafting team."
The 6-0, 214-pound running back ended his Notre Dame career as one of the most prolific ball carriers to line up in the backfield. He was named a Unanimous All-American and was only the 38th player in the history of the Fighting Irish football program to achieve that feat.
Love had a strong performance down in Indianapolis and solidified himself as the No. 1 running back in this year's draft class. He's been projected to go to the Titans who have the fourth overall pick and it would make a lot of sense. Love will likely be the best available player remaining on the board at the point in time and Tennessee is in need of more star power on offense to go along with quarterback Cam Ward who is headed into his second year in the league.
No. 40 - Running Back Jadarian Price
"Price is a compact running back with terrific vision and balance," Jeremiah stated. "He split carries with Jeremiyah Love in Notre Dame’s offense. Price is a patient runner, letting blocks develop before bursting through the line of scrimmage. He runs low to the ground and has supreme contact balance. He is adept at stepping through low tackles and can make defenders miss in space."
"Price has reliable hands, but Love handled the bulk of the pass-catching duties out of the backfield," Jeremiah continued. "In pass protection, Price is quick to identify blitzers and closes the distance before launching into the defender. He has suffered fumble issues (three inside the opposition’s 10-yard line in 2025). He provides home run ability as a kickoff returner, taking two for touchdowns in 2025. Overall, Price is overshadowed by his former teammate (Love), but the Notre Dame product has NFL-starter traits."
Price rose three spots from Jeremiah's previous Top 50 prospects list that was released after having the most complete performances at the NFL Combine amongst the running backs. Price showed of his smooth running ability combined with his explosiveness during the testing and on-field drills throughout the afternoon. His official 4.49 40-yard dash time puts him in the top half of the running backs that performed at the combine. Add that to his extremely productive career in South Bend, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that he sneaks into the first round.
He finished his Notre Dame career with 1,692 rushing yards, 21 rushing touchdowns 162 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. This past season alone, Price rushed for 674 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, caught two receiving touchdowns and took two 100-yard kick returns to the house, one against Purdue and one against USC. He would be an explosive playmaker for the Seattle offense.
Unfortunately, wide receiver Malachi Fields was dropped from Jeremiah's third installment of his Top 50 NFL Draft Prospect rankings. The 6-4, 218-pound boundary receiver was recently ranking No. 44 in the NFL analysts previous rankings but was not present in the one dropped earlier this week.
