Under the lights, the Irish renew historic rivalries with Michigan State and Miami, plus a primetime showdown against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field highlights an electric 2026 home slate.
Notre Dame has announced kickoff times for its six home games and its neutral site game against Wisconsin. The Irish will have three home night games and the Shamrock Series game will also be at night as the Irish have three home night games for the second straight year.
Notre Dame will kick the 2026 season off with a Shamrock Series game against Wisconsin. The game is set for a 7:30 PM ET kickoff on Sunday, September 6th and will be played inside Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. That is the home of the Green Bay Packers, and it's the second of a two-game series the Irish scheduled with the Badgers. The first game was in 2021, a game at Soldier Field and a game the Irish won 41-13.
Notre Dame holds a 9-6 all-time advantage against Wisconsin, but this will be just the second time the two teams have faced each other since 1964.
The Irish will host a long time rival for the first time in almost a decade when the Michigan State Spartans travel to Notre Dame for a matchup on September 19th. That game will kick off at 7:30 PM ET and it's the first of three home night games this season. Notre Dame and Michigan State have not faced each other since 2017, a game the Irish won 38-18 inside Spartan Stadium.
Notre Dame holds a 49-29-1 all-time record over the Spartans.
Notre Dame will have a pair of home night games in November.
The Irish host the Miami Hurricanes on November 7th and kickoff time is slated for 7:30 PM ET. Miami has won two straight against the Irish, beating them in 2017 and 2025, with both games being home contests for the Hurricanes. Notre Dame has won three straight home games against Miami (2016, 1990, 1988) and has won nine of the 10 matchups inside Notre Dame Stadium.
Notre Dame holds an 18-9-1 all-time record against Miami.
Notre Dame will finish its home slate with a matchup against SMU on November 21st, and it's the third of three home night games for the Irish. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 PM ET in this game, which marks the first time the Irish and Mustangs have faced each other since 1989. That was SMU's first season back after not playing football in 1987-88 due to receiving the "death penalty" after numerous recruiting violations. Notre Dame won that game 59-6 and the Irish hold a 10-3 all-time record against SMU
Notre Dame hosts Rice on September 12th, Stanford on October 10th and Boston College on November 14th. All three of those games are slated for a 3:30 PM ET kickoff. Notre Dame has a 5-0 all-time record against Rice, a 25-14 all-time record against Stanford and a 19-9 all-time record against Boston College.
