Notre Dame has completed its 2026 recruiting class and it's another elite group under head coach Marcus Freeman. The 27-man class has an argument to be the best recruiting class of the Freeman era. It's a big group, a deep group, a talented group and the Irish hit their needs across the board.

Notre Dame finished this class quite early, with the last commitment coming on August 9th. From that moment until Signing Day, the Notre Dame class did not see any defections and none of the commits visited other schools. The Notre Dame coaching staff clearly did a tremendous job identifying and landing players that were bought into the vision Freeman has for the program, as Notre Dame did not suffer any decommitments during the 2026 cycle.
This class will be Notre Dame's highest ranked group since the 2008 class and it is a hit across the various recruiting services. Even 247Sports, who tends to be much lower on Notre Dame recruits than other sites, has the Irish class ranked 5th in the country as of this morning.
