All eyes will be on the Notre Dame receiving corps heading into the 2026 season. This is a room that is absolutely loaded with talent and potential. They're led at the front by a pair of seniors, Jordan Faison and Jaden Greathouse, who will anchor this talented group behind them. From top to bottom, this might be the most talented receiver room they've had in South Bend in the last 15 years. Does it have a Will Fuller? That remains to be seen, but the depth of talent is exceptional.
A lot of emphasis is being placed on receivers coach Mike Brown who is entering his third year on staff. This is a major year for the third year receivers coach, and one that will partially define his career with the Irish. There's no doubt about the talent, but Notre Dame will need some key members of the 2024 and 2025 class to step up this offseason. We discuss all of that and more in today's episode of the Irish Breakdown Podcast.

Here are some of the main topics we discussed:
On The 2024 Recruiting Class...
"This is a make or break year for the receivers in the 2024 class. My opinion on Mike Brown as a receivers coach will also, largely, be dictated by the development of this class. Look, when you have talented receivers like Cam Williams, Micah Gilbert and Logan Saldate, who are going into their third year, still have some issues with consistent effort and willingness to be great, that's not a good spot to be in. This trio, especially Cam and Micah, have all the talent in the world to be absolute studs at Notre Dame. It will be up to them to put in the work and it will be up to Mike Brown to continue developing them as players."
On Jordan Faison's Outlook On 2026...
"We're talking about a guy who elected to forgo playing lacrosse, a sport he was an elite player at. He's missing the opportunity to go win another national title and do it playing with his younger brother to focus on football this spring. That says a lot about the type of player and the type of person Jordan Faison is. Now, is there another level he can get to this year? Absolutely. I don't think we've seen the best of Jordan Faison at Notre Dame; I think we just saw what a healthy Jordan Faison can do in the starting lineup. I'm very excited to see what he can become in 2026."
On Jaden Greathouse's Outlook On 2026...
"The biggest thing for Jaden is staying on the field. He's had such a wild career at Notre Dame. His first collegiate game, he caught two touchdown passes. In the playoffs in 2024, he lit the world on fire against Penn State in the Orange Bowl and against Ohio State in the championship game. We've also seen him go weeks on end with zero, or just one, target. Consistency, in every sense, will be the name of the game for Jaden Greathouse this season. We've seen what he can do, and it's electric. Now we just have to see it on a week in and week out basis."
