The Ohio State Buckeyes' roster is littered with star talent on both sides of the football at all levels of the team. There are future NFL stars everywhere on this roster, and they are proving their worth week in and week out.
For UCLA, while their season isn't going as planned, they still have players that are worth keeping your eye on, while the Buckeyes are trying to dominate the Bruins.
The Buckeyes went to bed on Friday night expecting to face quarterback Nico Iamaleava, however, this not the case.
Ohio State will be the first start for redshirt Sophomore Luke Duncan. Iamaleava was ruled out due to a concussion that he suffered against Nebraska, so Duncan will fill his place. Duncan is a tall, lanky, 6-foot-6, 210 lbs. He has appeared in just one game this year against Michigan State, making this Duncan's first start of his entire career.
Gilmer is the Bruins' leading receiver, coming into Saturday's game with 395 yards on 35 catches for just two scores on the year. That stat line alone tells the story of the story of the UCLA offensive attack. Its a unit that is on life support, but Gilmer is going to be the guy to stop in the passing game. He is a taller body, perfect to matchup with Davison Igbinosun all night long.

The Bruins' defense has struggled to generate pressure on the quarterback throughout the course of the 2025 season. I expect redshirt freshman Julian Sayin to have all the time in the world, but if there was a guy to keep off the pass rush, it would be defensive tackle Anthony Jones.
This year, Jones has just 1.5 sacks, which makes him the team leader. He stands at 6-foot-5 but weighs just 265 lbs, but his size has not limited his role with the program. Jones has one pass deflection on the year, so has the ability to get his hands on the ball if he can't get home to the quarterback. It will be critical for the Buckeyes to keep him off the quarterback.
Jackson comes to UCLA from Compton, California, and has burst onto the scene for UCLA this year.
The talented playmaker has two interceptions through nine games, along with three pass deflections. He has forced a fumble and made 28 total stops on the year, and Jackson will have toughest assignment on Saturday by chasing Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate. However, if Sayin isn't sharp, he will make him pay.
