Ohio State received three more game times for its 2026 regular season campaign.
The Buckeyes' season is starting to come together for 2026. Ohio State has an incredibly tough schedule, and they are now starting to receive the time slots for each game.
The Buckeyes will actually get themselves a couple of (real) primetime games and get the opportunity to play under the lights both on the road and at home.
After Wednesday's announcements, the Buckeyes now know five of their 12 game times, with a couple of the others being very easy to guess.
We know for a fact that the Buckeyes will visit DKR in a week two kickoff against the Texas Longhorns at 7:30 PM. That game will be featured on ABC as the game of the week, presumably between two Top-5 teams in the country.
After that, the only one that we can guarantee is a noon kickoff against the Michigan Wolverines in the final week of the season. That traditional time slot will hopefully never change.
The three new announcements are as follows:
- Week One: 12:30 PM vs. Ball State
- Week Three: 12:00 PM vs. Kent State
- Week Six: Between 3:30 and 8:00 PM vs. Maryland
There are no surprises in this one. There is absolutely no reason to play Ball State or Kent State at any other time than in the noon hour.
The Big Ten and FOX will always throw Ohio State a bone after not allowing them to play any of their big games at night, but slot them for Big Noon Kickoff. So, they always give them at least one home game against an inferior opponent under the lights.
I wouldn't be shocked if this game was slotted at 7:30 or 8:00 PM just to please Buckeye Nation.
After that, the rest of the seven games in the season are still unofficially announced. However, some educated guesses can be made.
The one absolute shoo-in is when Ohio State heads to Bloomington, Indiana, to take on the No. 1 Hoosiers. As it stands now, the Buckeyes will be road dogs against the Hoosiers by just a couple of points.
Barring any specific injury, this game will unofficially be featured on Big Noon kickoff. They might try to squeeze one of the following three into a primetime slot between USC, Oregon, and Nebraska if they are still hanging around.
The schedule is starting to come together, and we are inching closer to the beginning of another college football season.
